Academic Year 2026 Secondary One Registration

To all students who will join New Town Secondary School (NTSS) as a Secondary One student in 2026, congratulations and welcome!

Online Registration – by 21 December 2025
Parents/Guardians of all 2026 Secondary One students will receive instructions on the registration process via the Parents Gateway (PG).
There is no need for students to report in-person to the school before 2 January 2026. To confirm your child’s/ward’s enrolment at New Town Secondary School, parents/guardians must click “Acknowledge” in the Parents Gateway (PG) form by 21 December 2025 (Sunday), 5.00 pm. The 2026 class allocation will be available from 26 December 2025 (Friday) by clicking on the "CONTACTS" tab at the bottom of the PG home page.

Medical Appeal Exercise – by 22 December 2025
If your child/ward requires school transfer due to serious medical conditions or severe physical impairments, please bring along the supporting documents to New Town Secondary School for submission by 22 December 2025 (Monday), 12.00 pm.

Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
If you wish to apply for the MOE FAS, you may find out more information from the MOE website https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/financial-assistance. Once the application is approved, parents will be notified and can collect the textbooks and uniform from the vendors in the school. Some parents might experience delay in the collection of textbooks and uniform due to the time taken for the approval of the FAS. Your child/ward may report to school in his/her primary school uniform if the collection is after 2 January 2026.

Purchase of Uniform and Textbooks
The details for the purchase of uniform and textbooks are found below. You are strongly encouraged to purchase them online through the URL provided below.

1. Uniform

   1. For the online purchase of uniform, please click on the following link https://finestuniform.com/collections/new-town-secondary-school . If prompted for a password, please enter Newtown22. 

   2. The last day for online orders is 22 December 2025 (Monday). 

   3. Walk-in purchase and self-collection are available in the school canteen from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on 22, 23, 26 and 29 December 2025, and 2 January 2026 (Friday).
      

2. Textbooks

   1. The booklist for Secondary One students can be accessed via https://www.newtownsec.moe.edu.sg/about-us/links/parents/purchase-of-textbooks-and-school-attire/. 

   2. For students who are eligible to offer one or more subjects at a more demanding level, a separate PG letter will be sent by 23 December 2025. To ensure that your child/ward has the correct set of textbooks, you are encouraged to purchase them after 23 December 2025.

   3. Walk-in purchase and FAS collection will be available from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on 22, 23, 26 and 29 December 2025. Payment can be made via cash or PayNow.

First Day of School
The first day of school is on 2 January 2026 (Friday). All Secondary One students are to report before 7.35 am at the school parade ground in full school uniform (polo t-shirt and school shorts/skirt). Students who have not purchased the school uniform in time may report in their primary school uniform.
Our student leaders will guide your child/ward from the foyer to the parade ground. Parents/guardians will not be allowed into the school premises, except for drop off at the foyer.

Secondary One Orientation
All Secondary One students will attend the Secondary One Orientation from 2 to 6 January 2026. The aim of the programme is to familiarise students to the new school environment, as well as to get to know their Form Teachers and classmates better. 
There is no need to bring any textbooks during the orientation. Students are to bring writing materials, water bottle and a story book for reading. Attendance for the programme is compulsory.
