2. Application Process
The 4-stage Application Process is as follows:

Stage 1 – Application
|

Students from MOE mainstream primary schools: Parents may log in directly to DSA-Sec Portal. Only one parent’s Singpass is required. Parents who are unable to apply online can approach their child’s/ward’s primary school for assistance.

Fill in all relevant information in the DSA-Sec portal. Verify all information and submit application through the website.

Non-mainstream students (i.e., not studying in MOE mainstream primary schools). Parents need to apply for a Registration Number (RGxxxxxxx) to access the DSA-Sec Portal. Please refer to MOE website at: https://go.gov.sg/nmsdsa-sec-application.

Stage 2 – Interview and Trial/Audition

Shortlisted applicants will be informed and scheduled for an interview:

For Leadership, applicants will need to provide evidence of leadership capabilities.

For Visual Arts, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their level of aptitude in art.

For Basketball, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their sporting qualities, either through demonstration of Basketball abilities or equivalent sporting ability.

For Fencing, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their sporting qualities, either through demonstration of Fencing abilities or equivalent sporting ability.

For Concert Band, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their level of aptitude in music.

For Guzheng, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their level of aptitude in music.

The interview panel will also assess the candidate’s positive attitude, commitment, and communication skills through the interview conversation.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified by the school on the interview date by 17 July 2026.

Stage 3 – Result Notification

Applicants will be notified by email if they have been:

given a Confirmed Offer or
-
put on the Waiting List or
-
if the school is unable to offer them a place.
Students who are given a Confirmed Offer are guaranteed a place in the school, provided they accept the offer and qualify for an academic Posting Group offered by the school based on their PSLE results.

Stage 4 – School Preference Submission
|
Students who receive at least one DSA-Sec offer (including from SOTA) will receive SMS and email from Postman.gov.sg in mid-Oct. Only one parent is required to log in to the DSA-Sec Portal to submit school preferences. If parents are unable to submit online, they can approach primary school for assistance.
The School Preference Submission will end on 23 October 2026, 4.30pm.
